Practicing new songs at Vibe Asylum tonight

Tonight we'll be working on Hold on Hold, Crystal Clear, and Listen Up. I don't know if 2 hours is long enough to practice. Maybe we should think about extending the practice. Right now I'm trying to pick 10 songs for the next Linus CD.

Cool drawings by Aurel Schmidt

I was just running through the newest updates at fecalface.com and I caught this drawing. I like it. It reminds me of Casey Jex Smith. We're talking about possibly doing a double disc album in the next few months. Then we'll hopefully have it ready early next year. It'll have all of the songs that we've never put to tape.

I started working on the DVD, writing up scenarios, inventing situations, working on the menus, and getting a good theme going. How about "Enchantment Under the Sea?" No, I'm joking. I need to fix the firewire card on my PC before I start editing, but I am starting to compile footage.

New Website Design and other band updates

Alright, so we'd been talking about making a new website and everything, and there have been many designs but nothing really stuck so, today I just threw something together, we're going to try to make this more of a storage compartment for the stuff we do as a band.

Right now we're really churning out a ton of new tracks, only thing is, we don't have time to rehearse them and get them ready to record and play at shows. The entire band wants to play them right now how they are, but I don't want to play anything that isn't finished.

I'll be updating the website as soon as we get a handle on just what we want to get finished in 2006. The show in Chinatown was amazingly fun to play. Plenty people, art, and photography. I really liked it. Too bad they didn't have anything to eat or drink though.

We're practicing all new material tomorrow night. I'm excited. We have 8 shows lined up in October, so you're bound to hear a few new tracks in October. We'll be posting the shows with details as soon as we get them.

If you took photos of us at Cornstalk/The Big Bang Theory this weekend can you send us copies?

If you took photos of us this weekend we'd like to see them. Please send all photos to photos@linustheband.com

I'm working through the lyrics for "Crystal Clear" and "Hold On," two new songs that I want to get done soon.

Introducing YMF

YMF is a band from Seattle that we played a show with at their house. Last week Sherin sent me an mp3 of them covering our song Hobby Hunter. Luckily she said I could share it.

>> Listen to YMF's cover of our song "Hobby Hunter."

Edit: Sherin would like to say that this is a version done by Sherin, Kim, and Jeff. YMF is on hiatus for how, but I recognize those drums. Those are the one's from Veronica's house right? The blue ones?
