Mcdonalds is creepy

Magix music creator for PS2 was 10 dollars at compusa so I bought it. You can hook up a usb microphone and record tracks too, but the memory car is only 8 mb... I'm going to try it out tonight.

In the studio

Not even a day after finals I'm in the studio recording guitar parts. Hobby hunter is sounding good and epic.

WANT NEW AMP FOR CHRISTMAS

After last night's show I said to myself- "I want a new guitar amp for Christmas."

That will be my final major gear purchase for next year.

Wow, I want one of these. It's a touch-sensitive "Lemur" by a company called JazzMutant. I think it's just a universal graphical controller for tons of studio hardware. And it's only $250,000!

There used to be an effects pad or something that you could use your fingers to control like this but I can't remember it right now. I wonder how that sounds...

Gear Update - Amp

Last night we practiced at Phil's. In the quiet of his bunker studio I realized that my amp is servely ill. At times it sounds fine then only seconds later, it sounds like there's a ghost screaming through the speakers. I either have to fix it or borrow someones for the show on Friday at Coffee Talk. Danmerle's synth sounded GREAT last night on the PA.

Only one more week

still writing a paper on europeans in the pacific. recently got into battlefront. I suck at it but it's fun. I want to record as much as possible during winter break. we're practicing as a band for the first time in 2 weeks tonight. I'm going to demo a new song(''O.H.''). i'm thinking of bidding on a xylophone on ebay to use on one song. Today it's almost cool enough to be comfortable. Only one more week...

Wet wet wet

All we could talk about was the weather, the thunder, and the lightning.

I finally have time to do it but....

It's really hard to actually start something. I have time today to work on the new material but getting started is the hardest part. I don't know how I want it. We're practicing/recording on Tuesday for the show on the 9th at Coffee Talk. I think we're going to play a long set.

First Post - album#2 news

I'm not sure we're even going to keep a blog going but here it goes anyway. We started recording a new album. So far we've recorded the drum tracks for 5 songs: "On a Holiday," "Sasha," "You Talk too Much," "SOSO," and "The Hobby Hunter." Nik started recording bass parts last week. Until the songs structures are set in stone, we're not going to be able to record anymore. I have the bed tracks. I think im going to load them into Audition and write on top of it.
