Listening to Crystal Skulls

I only have two songs from this band, the free ones that they have on the site. But I haven't heard any of the other songs. They might have a horrible album but these songs are so good. I keep coming back to this band like clockwork. you should go download the free songs on their site if you're looking for something interesting... crystalskullsonline.com

http://www.getdemocracy.com/

This is a free program for your computer. Here's what the website says it does:

Watch Internet TV with Democracy Player

You've probably watched hundreds of tiny videos on websites -- it's tedious. Democracy Player makes video on the internet less frustrating and more enjoyable. You can subscribe to channels of internet video, download videos, and watch them fullscreen, one after the other, all in one application. Internet video becomes internet TV. It's free and open for everyone to watch and broadcast.

This sounds pretty cool but I haven't tried it yet. Click here to download the program.

StarBulletin article

Just got an email from stan that our photo was in the star bulletin. That's great! we took this photo by Indigos in the middle of the street. Click on the title of this blog post to read the article in the star bulletin.

Last night we practice our set for Red Elephant for 3 hours straight. As much as I wanted to mess around with new material (FTR, LIABT), we all decided that it'd be best to focus on the show this weekend. We have a very strong line up of songs for this show. I hear Randall's bringing his kit and the PA's supposed to be top of the line so this definitely is not the show to miss. I asked Nik and I think he said that we're scheduled to play around 10pm. Can't make it to Red Elephant tomorrow? We also have a show at the Wave on Sunday. Check the shows seciton for more info about either show. We'll have CDs and buttons for sale at both shows. See you there!

Stadsvandringar - New and Unopened

I got Stadsvandringar this past Christmas. I liked Ta Det Lugnt and I was going to buy this album for myself... but I still haven't opened it... Have you listened to both Ta Det Lugnt and Stadsvandringar? Am I expecting too much out of Stadsvandringar? It got pretty bad review on pitchforkmedia.com...

Practice Recap

Tonight we practiced at Kewalo, oops, i mean Vibe Asylum II. It's been a few weeks since we practiced together so we took the opportunity to work on new material exclusively. There are five or six songs that I'm trying to work out right now. We worked on two new songs today, "For all the Rebates" is turning out a lot more driving than I thought it would. I want a xylophone so badly. Another song, "Trapped in a Binding Tie," is shaping up great. good night.

These songs will be on the next album

I'm not posting links to any of the new songs in this post, just our intention to record them. Here are the titles of the five new songs: Hobby Hunter, Dangerous Associations, Parrafin Wax, For all the Rebates, and HEALTH. That is all. - david

Following Waves

I'm working on some old material. It looks like a lot of the stuff we're working on has been in circulation within the band for some time. I found a recording of a practice we had 3 years ago of us playing some song. I'm trying to catalog all of our material into... a greatest hits LIVE CD? probably not yet, but not out of the question. While we're feeling all nostalgic, here's a flyer from a show we had in 2004...
